We are officially back in our school routine. I had a great first day with my first and second graders. This year I have a lot of students who are children of coworkers or friends. There's at least one in each class.
Logan did his math homework on the patio tonight while I grilled honey mustard chicken and French bread. It was really good for him to switch up the scenery during homework time. The patio may become our new homework spot at least when the weather is decent.
As much as I'll miss the freedom and flexibility of summer, I'm really glad to be back on our school schedule.
