Lucas's First Basketball Game
Lucas's first basketball game was tonight. It was hilarious! Seriously it was a comedy of errors. And yet they managed to win. We stopped for a lil treat at Sonic to celebrate his first game. I'm so proud of Lucas and his team. Go Cavs!

Lucas's Basketball Practice
Tonight was Luc's final practice before his first game. He's so excited. And he was really excited to see his buddy Anderson. They practiced some drills and scrimmaged. At the end, they received their uniforms. He's more than ready for his game tomorrow!

Grandpa
We went over to Calli's to check on Grandpa today. He was discharged from the hospital yesterday. He still doesn't have all his strength back, but his color was good. He was very happy to see us. JJ was very happy to see her Aunt KayKay too. I got lots of love from her. And all four kiddos cooperated for a picture. Pretty soon there'll be another lil boy in the picture.

Peace
2015 was about finding my joy in the Lord after losing our baby. As I look back at the last year, I no longer feel guilty about how I feel~good or bad. I think about her every day but it's not all crushing grief anymore. You cannot genuinely walk with the Lord and not be filled with joy. Joy never left me; I had to choose to let go of some of my grief so I could experience it.
The last couple of months peace has become a reoccurring theme. As I've been obedient to worry less and trust God more, He's given me His overwhelming peace even in the midst of some very chaotic circumstances. There are some things about myself I need to make peace with too. It's time to let go and trust God to work those things out for my good. This year I will worry less, pray more, and express my gratitude to the Lord for all He's done so I can experience His peace. God's peace is more than just a sense of calmness, it also brings wholeness and healing. This year I want to abide in His peace.
“I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.””
John 16:33 NLT
“You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!”
Isaiah 26:3 NLT
“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:6-7 NLT

Star Wars...Finally
This afternoon we finally went to see Star Wars The Force Awakens. We all loved it! We went to a theater that I used to go to growing up, and the boys thought that was pretty cool. The boys were thrilled when Daddy bought them popcorn and sodas. The ridiculous thing is we paid more for the 3 popcorns and 4 sodas than we did to watch the movie.
Before the movie, the boys and I went to up to the hospital to visit Grandpa. He's doing so much better! He was sitting up watching TV when we walked in his room. He was even able to get up and walk to the restroom with his walker by himself. He has made amazing progress since Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. Hopefully he will get discharged on Monday.

New Year's Eve
We ended 2015 by heading up to the hospital to visit with Grandpa for most of the afternoon. After dinner, we had desserts and played games with some friends. Then we headed home and watched Bama shut out Spartie. We rang in the new year early with Luc because he never makes it til midnight. The boys played video games. We watched House until midnight. I'm not gonna lie, I actually took a little nap. Then Joshua, Logan, and I rang in the New Year with sparkling apple cider and gummy bears. We are ready for 2016!
