Celebrating Grammie

The      Grammie's birthday was on Saturday. Her favorite breakfast place is MiMi's Cafe so we took her Friday morning since we were out of school. The boys love the new puppy pancakes!

Then Saturday when we went to Kelli's for the egg hunt, Kelli surprised mom with a card from our friends, cake, and ice cream after the egg hunt. We all sang "Happy Birthday." It was such a sweet, thoughtful surprise.

There's really not words to describe how thankful I am for Mom and everything she does to help us with the boys and around the house. We are truly blessed.

Happy Birthday, Grammie!!! We love you!!!

First Soccer Practice

This is the first time for both boys to play on a soccer team. They are so excited! Lucas is playing with his friend Anderson. I love it because Caralyn and get time to chat.

Logan is so pumped about his team. He was nervous because he didn't know anyone, but he said they're very encouraging to each other. He said they tell each other they'll do better next time when they mess up and good job when they get it right.

It's going to be a great soccer season!

Happy Resurrection Day 2016

We kicked off our Easter celebrations with family and friends yesterday. We had an egg hunt and lunch at Calli's house yesterday morning. All my nieces and nephews were there. Grandpa ate lunch with us. And I got lots of snuggle time with my lil PW.

Then we headed over to Kelli's house to hunt eggs with friends. I think this needs to become an annual event. The kids had fun playing and jumping on the trampoline.

This morning we made resurrection rolls for breakfast. The boys were so excited until Lucas realized he couldn't eat them because the marshmallows could mess up his dental work. Then I felt like a terrible parent.

Logan and Lucas sang with the children's choir in church this morning. Logan had two solos. He did such a great job. I'm so proud of him!

Then we came home and had lunch. I cooked my ham in the slow cooker for the first time and it was delicious. I also made an Easter dirt cake for dessert.

Jesus is risen! He is risen indeed! Happy Easter!!!

St. Patty's Day

I made the boys Lucky Charms pancakes with whipped cream and marshmallows. I also wrote a Scripture from the beatitudes in Matthew 5 on construction paper place mats.

While we were eating breakfast we had some crazy hail. It looked like it snowed in our side yard.

After we went to Lil Warriors, we stopped by my sister's to see the babies and Grandpa. This was Uncle Joshua's first time to meet PW.

Then we headed home for baked potatoes and Lucky Charms bundt cake. The cake appearance was a Pinterest fail. Part of it stuck to the pan and fell apart, but it does taste magically delicious.

It was a fun filled St. Patty's Day with people we love!
