Cooking Up Some Birthday Fun

Logan went to a birthday party today for a girl in his class. She had her party at the Young Chef's Academy in Fort Worth. The kids cooked pizza from scratch and baked/decorated cupcakes for most of the party time. They spent the the last 15 minutes enjoying their pizza and cupcake. Logan had so much fun.

Candy Plane Valentines

This year instead of just buying Valentine cards, Logan and I made candy airplanes for his class. We had so much making them. Lucas kept taking them apart, so I think we put them together about 3 times. Logan was so excited about handing out the Valentines and it was a lot more fun than just addressing cards out a box. We made a few extras to give to their friends.

Valentine Date with Logan

Last Friday, our school had a family Valentine dance. It was so special and fun for me to get to take Logan to his first dance. It was so great to be able to spend one on one time with him. We got all dressed, acted silly, and had an amazing time. Here we are before the dance.

Logan and Rylan dancing together. They had so much and were going crazy on the dance floor.

After the dance, we stopped at Baskin Robbins for ice cream. Logan got chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream with gummy bears.

So thankful for the special Valentine date we were able to share.

Of course I had to take a picture with my lil Lucas too.

Bed Hopping

Logan and Lucas start snuggled up together in their bed.

When Joshua and I wake up, they are in our bed or Grammie's bed.

If I wake up when they get in the bed, I wait for them to go sleep and put them back in their bed.

But at least one of them ends back up in our bed most nights.

We used to really try to get the boys to sleep and stay in their bed all night. Joshua and I finally decided that while it's nice when they sleep and stay in their bed, there's only a season of life that they will want to sleep and snuggle with us. Now we embrace it and sometimes even initiate it.

Everyone has an opinion about co sleeping...but this season of life only lasts so long, so we've decided to embrace it. One day I'll look back on these pictures and they will be a sweet memory Joshua and I will cherish.

By the way, one day Logan was talking to my mom begging her to let him sleep in her bed. He told Grammie I bed hop-I'm gonna wake up and get in your bed anyway! Needless to say, he got to sleep in Grammie's bed that night!
