UME Mother/Son Event

We went back to It'z Pizza for the mother/son event. Lucas was so excited because this was his first year to go. We rode with Julie and her boys. And then we met Caralyn and Anderson there. The boys all ran around and played together. We had a lot of fun hanging together with our friends.

Basketball & Donuts

Luc had a 8am basketball game this morning. The boys were so excited Grandma came to watch.

Then Grandma took the boys to buy donuts. Luc didn't want sticky hands so he ate his donut like this.

     And the Cavs won again!

Valentine Fun

We started Valentine's Day with a special breakfast. I woke up early and set the table. I also set out the boys' gifts and cards I made.

The boys loved their gifts. They each received a Star Wars m&m dispenser. They loved their heart shaped cinnamon rolls!

The boys love cinnamon rolls, but Joshua loves breakfast casserole. So I baked a bacon, egg, and cheese casserole for him.

In church, the Kids' Choir sang L-O-V-E You, God. Logan rocked his solo on the first verse. The kids sang this two years ago too. It was their first performance after my miscarriage. I would listen to that song and just cry. It was such a great reminder for me of all the ways God shows us He loves us. This Sunday I cried happy tears as I remembered God's faithfulness to us.

After church, Joshua took the boys and I out to lunch. And Lucas declared his superpower is melting ice cream.

After lunch we took a nap. Then we headed to Calli's to visit Grandpa. We really cherish our time with him. And I'm so thankful he's moved here so the boys can get to know him.

After that we headed home for our fancy dinner. This has become one of my favorite Valentine's Day traditions. I made pesto ranch chicken, angel hair Parmesan pasta, and broccoli. I also baked a pink velvet heart shaped cake with pink buttercream frosting and pink candy sprinkles. I also made Love Potion (vanilla ice cream and cherry 7-Up).

Then Joshua and the boys gave me their gifts. Logan got flowers for me. Lucas gave me my favorite chocolates, and Joshua bought me another cross.

It was a perfect Valentine's Day.

IBC Celebrate Love Banquet

Last night was our Celebrate Love Valentine banquet at church. I had a lot of fun planning it and helping decorate for it. When I walked in with Joshua last night I was so excited about how beautifully it came together. I just wished a couple of friends had been there to see it for themselves because we couldn't have pulled it off with out them. I took these before I went home to get ready.

We had Eddlemon's BBQ for dinner, and it was delicious! We sat with the Potts and Prices and had so much fun laughing and talking. After dessert, we went into the sanctuary and watched a comedy DVD by Anita Renfroe. She was hilarious! I laughed so hard!

Photo credits go to Cynthia for taking this beautiful picture of us.

This was my favorite verse poster from last night:

“Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins.”

My Girls

Yesterday after to school, we went to see Grandpa and the girls. Grandpa had a rough night, so he was sleeping, but the girls were waiting at the door when we arrived. JJ especially is all about Aunt KayKay, so I got lots of love from her. CoCo gave me some love too, but she's a mama's girl for sure. The boys love Aunt Calli and the girls! And they were so excited Aunt Calli had baked heart shaped cupcake for an after school snack. We were sad we didn't get to visit with Grandpa, but thankful for time with Calli and the girls.
