Birthday Dinner Celebrations

Logan's birthday was on a Wednesday night. We told him since it was his birthday we would miss church to go out to eat. Logan didn't want to miss church so we did his birthday dinner the night before at his favorite restaurant Texas Roadhouse.

Lucas' birthday was on a Sunday, so we had his dinner on Saturday night since Chick-fil-a is closed on Sundays. Poor Lucas daddy and Logan kept trying to talk him into eating somewhere else, but he stood firm about his Chick-fil-a!

A Visit from the Owen Family

Heather and boys came down from Arkansas for the Logan and Lucas' birthday party. They spent Friday night with us. The boys have missed Siah and GrayGray so much and were so glad they were able to play with them. They didn't leave til Monday morning so we were able to spend lots of time with them. Logan attempted to spend the night with them at Miss Janice's house, but Siah fell asleep before Logan did. He had Heather call me to come get him. We are so thankful for the time we were able to spend with them.

Chelsea's Pioneer Party

A week ago Saturday we drove out to Paris for Chelsea's 6th birthday party. The boys were so excited to get to see the Clarks and their new home. They were also excited to see the kids' grandparents too! They were the only boys there besides baby Miles.

Aunt Krista gave them a real pioneer experience including washing clothes on a washboard. Then they had to race to the line and pin up the clothing they washed.

Baby Miles is getting so big-he'll be one in September!

     They had 3 legged races.

They also played A Tisket, A Tasket.

We made ice cream in a bag.

     Here's Chelsea opening her presents.

On the way back to Arlington, Logan told me it made his heart happy to see our friends again. I absolutely agree with him-I'm very thankful we were able to make the trip to celebrate Chels' birthday!

Monday Night Raw in Dallas

A week ago today WWE's Monday Night Raw came to the American Airlines Center in Dallas. Of course daddy took his boys! The boys were so excited. Lucas came home with a John Cena shirt, Logan a Randy Orton shirt, and Daddy a Little Jimmy shirt. They had a blast!

Logan's First Day of First Grade

On August 15th, Logan started first grade at UME Prep. His classes start at 10:30am and end at 3:30pm. We got up, dropped Grammie off at Parkland, and then grabbed some Chick-fil-a and came home to eat breakfast and get ready for school.

Logan loves wearing an uniform. The only part he doesn't like is having to keep his shirt tucked in.

He's Lukie with his brother. When we left Logan at Luc cried because he wanted to stay with brother. When I finally got him to the car, he cried because he wanted to Logan to come with us. I was very proud of myself, I didn't cry when I left him. It was hard though; I've never left him like that and been at home. He did go to TLC for preschool, but I was at work, and my mom dropped him off and picked him up. I was glad that he goes to our friend Leigh Ann's class on the days I do not teach.

UME stands for University Model of Education. Logan has different teachers for each class. On Monday/Wednesday/Friday, Logan attends music, computer applications, English, and History. On Tuesday/Thursday, Logan has PE, Science, and Math. He has assignments to complete at home for all of his classes. Our friend Mrs. Eddlemon is English teacher and I am his Science teacher! I teach Grade 1 Science and Grade 4 Math on Tuesday/Thursday. I teach two sections of each. Between my four classes I have several friends and friends of friends in my classes.
Since school started on Wednesday, Lucas and I dropped Logan off and then headed home. Grammie took Luc and I to McAlister's for lunch. Here's Lucas enjoying his sweet tea!
We are so thankful Logan is getting an awesome college preparatory education with more time spent at home with us. We are also so thankful that God has given me the opportunity to teach (my passion) two days a week and be at home more with the boys (what I've wanted for a long time)!
